Model identity and fit

HHOLOVE Pro or ABRCT Open-Top L1: choose the documented routine you need

The current HHOLOVE U.S. store lists two different self-cleaning designs under related brand names: the enclosed HHOLOVE Automatic Self-Cleaning Cat Litter Box Pro (model CL-TYW) and the open-top ABRCT Open-Top L1. The Pro’s White and Dark Grey options share two color-specific U.S. codes; the L1’s White and Black options have their own separate SKUs. A matching color does not make the machines the same model. Start with entry style and cat fit, then decide whether the public instructions answer your litter and connectivity requirements.

Choose by the shape your cat will actually use

The CL-TYW Pro has a circular front opening into a covered rotating drum. HHOLOVE lists a 6.7-inch entry threshold, a 60 L globe and outer dimensions of 23.5 by 21.5 by 21.5 inches. Those measurements help with room planning, but a cat’s length, posture and willingness to enter matter as much as the listed threshold. The manufacturer recommends a flat, hard floor because a mat or carpet can interfere with its weight sensing.

The ABRCT L1 is presented as an open-top unit, a practical contrast for a cat reluctant to enter an enclosed portal. Its U.S. page gives a 3–18 lb weight range and a headline 60 L capacity, but it does not publish the full footprint, entry height, waste-bin volume or a numerical cat-count rating in the sources reviewed. The broad claim of multiple-cat use is not a rated capacity or a promise about days between emptying. If exact step clearance or bin size is essential, the available L1 page does not answer it.

Do not treat their litter directions as interchangeable

The two-page quick guide for Pro model CL-TYW specifies clumping litter to the MAX line; its U.S. FAQ rules out crystal litter and says to keep the fill at or below 9 lb. The same materials do not publish a complete granule-size chart, so an unusual pellet, extra-fine or mixed substrate still deserves exact-model confirmation. The guide also describes button-only use if you do not want to set up app reporting.

For the L1, the exact U.S. page does not identify which litter chemistries or particle sizes are compatible, and an exact U.S. manual crosswalk was not found. Do not transfer the Pro’s clumping-only instruction or a detail from a different regional L1 listing. If a particular litter is non-negotiable, the L1 remains an unconfirmed choice until HHOLOVE provides written directions for its exact SKU.

A documented Ease is different, but not a confirmed current option

There is a third HHOLOVE/ABRCT name worth recognizing if you encounter an older or reference listing: the manufacturer-submitted manual identifies the Automatic Cat Litter Box Ease as model CT-LBWES. It describes an uncovered tray, a powered rake and a rear waste drawer. A signed model-difference letter says CT-LBWES-WB shares the same board, schematic, hardware, software and structure; it does not connect either code to the Open-Top L1 or establish a U.S. retail SKU. The L1 page calls its action “self-shoveling,” but the exact U.S. materials reviewed do not explain its mechanism. So the Ease’s rake cannot be assumed to describe the L1, and the L1’s name cannot be used to identify an Ease.

The Ease manual names clumping litter examples (bentonite, mineral or tapioca) and warns against tofu and mixed litter. It also says not to use Automatic mode below 1.5 kg (about 3.3 lb) or before six months; it gives no maximum cat weight. Those rules are more specific than the L1 page’s 3–18 lb guide, which does not state a minimum age or litter types. The enclosed Pro has a different rotating-globe routine and its own 2.2–22 lb guide. Treat each as its own operating plan: an unknown maximum, age threshold or litter instruction is not evidence that the requirement is met.

The HHOLOVE U.S. litter-box collection inspected for this guide lists the Pro and Open-Top L1, not the Ease. The Ease is retained as a documented reference model, not a current buying recommendation; its U.S. offer, parts and support route remain unconfirmed. If a listing uses the Ease name, check the product label and ask for the exact retail code and current support terms rather than treating it as another color or package of the L1.

Connected features, ages and cleanout routine

The Pro page describes four weighing sensors and app-based activity and weight recognition; its quick guide’s app setup uses a secure 2.4 GHz network, Bluetooth and location permission. Its published automatic-use guide is for cats at least six months old and between 2.2 and 22 lb. The drawer is 6 L, but no dependable days-between-emptying number is supplied. These manufacturer claims do not establish tracking accuracy, a veterinary benefit or an unattended interval.

The L1 listing advertises app use and maintenance notifications and places cats in a 3–18 lb range. It leaves the Wi-Fi band, offline operation and minimum age unconfirmed. Its 60 L figure should not be mistaken for the waste compartment. The gallery’s phone artwork reads “Cat Litter Box Lite” although the exact product title is Open-Top L1; that promotional-screen wording is not a model crosswalk. Check the care instructions and empty the bin based on its actual fill.

Decision in practice

Prefer the CL-TYW Pro assessment if your cat accepts an enclosed drum and you want more concrete published details about litter, Wi-Fi, age, weight and drawer size. Compare the L1 assessment when open-top access matters and your cat falls within its stated weight range. The L1 is not the safer bet for a hard litter, network, age, capacity or clearance requirement unless its exact U.S. support confirms that missing fact. Either way, supervise the transition, follow the model-specific safety directions and keep an ordinary litter option available while your cat adjusts.
