HHOLOVE Automatic Self-Cleaning Cat Litter Box Pro review

An enclosed front-entry rotating sifter with a 60 L chamber, 6 L waste drawer, clumping-litter operation and app reporting on 2.4 GHz; its quick guide also documents local button operation without an app.

Exact U.S. model identity is CL-TYW with separately listed White and Dark Grey SKUs. Its manufacturer quick guide is only two pages and carries a conflicting placeholder FCC-ID footer; the FCC exhibit record and product page identify CL-TYW. Do not treat the six-hour purification claim or weight-based multi-cat identification as independently validated performance.

A useful fit for

A household using clumping litter, with a secure 2.4 GHz network if app reporting is essential (or willingness to use local buttons), a hard level floor and cats at least six months old and 2.2–22 lb. The 6.7-inch threshold and interior dimensions still require an individual cat-fit check.

The main tradeoff

The Pro pairs a relatively compact enclosure with a 60 L chamber and 6 L drawer, but neither number is a multi-cat service interval. It offers app records and weight-based identification claims as well as button-only operation. Its exact age/weight limits, clumping-only guidance, crystal exclusion, 2.4 GHz pairing and hard-floor advice are more decision-useful than an unqualified 'safe for every cat' claim; no numeric household capacity is published.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Does the Pro fit the cat's actual automatic-use age and weight?

The current U.S. page specifies 1–10 kg (about 2.2–22 lb) and age six months or older; both age and weight matter.

Can your room meet the CL-TYW placement and connection conditions?

Use a flat, hard surface; app setup needs secure 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and location permission, while the quick guide also describes button-only operation.

Explore this need in the finder →
Is the Pro's documented litter routine suitable?

The quick guide specifies clumping litter and its U.S. FAQ excludes crystal litter; no particle-size range is published.

Would an enclosed circular front-entry drum work better than an open top?

CL-TYW has an enclosed rotating-drum entry; the L1 is a separate open-top model with its own source limitations.

How much waste volume and rated cat capacity does the manufacturer document?

The Pro publishes a 6 L drawer but no numeric household cat capacity or guaranteed days between emptying; empty by actual load rather than a calendar estimate.

Two finishes, one exact Pro model

HHOLOVE’s Automatic Self-Cleaning Cat Litter Box Pro is the enclosed, front-entry model CL-TYW. Its current U.S. offers list White as SKU PCLTYWHMUSWTY000 and Dark Grey as PCLTYWHMUSBKY000. They are color-specific listings of the named Pro, not the separate ABRCT Open-Top L1. The Pro’s rotating drum and small circular entrance make it a different choice from an exposed pan: it can suit a cat that accepts a covered toilet, but a cat that dislikes portals or needs more turning room should try an open design before you rely on a product-page capacity figure.

The manufacturer lists the outer body at 23.5 inches long, 21.5 wide and 21.5 high, with a 29.76-pound net weight, a 60-liter interior globe and a 6-liter waste drawer. Those are not interchangeable measurements: the chamber is not a 60-liter waste bin, and the drawer’s volume does not promise a set number of days between cleanouts. The page describes the drawer as useful for a short absence but does not publish a universal service interval. Check it by its actual fill and your household’s use rather than treating “multi-cat” advertising as permission to leave waste unattended.

Fit and litter are hard filters

For automatic use, HHOLOVE gives a range of 1–10 kilograms (about 2.2–22 pounds) and an age of six months or older. It also describes a low 6.7-inch entry threshold. That threshold may be worth measuring for a cat with limited mobility, but it does not prove that every cat can enter comfortably; posture, length and willingness to enter a drum still matter. Do not use the maker’s range as a substitute for observing a first transition. The quick guide suggests keeping the previous box nearby, placing the new unit in the familiar location and adding recognizable litter during acclimation.

The two-page guide says to add clumping litter to the MAX line, and the current U.S. FAQ explicitly says crystal litter is not compatible and limits fill to 9 pounds (about 4.1 kilograms). I would not extend that guidance to every tofu, pellet, mixed or extra-fine formula: the exact U.S. materials do not supply a particle-size chart or a broad list of approved clumping types. For a home committed to crystal litter, compare a machine designed around a crystal tray instead. For other substrates, verify the exact litter with HHOLOVE rather than inferring compatibility from the drum’s volume.

App reporting is optional, but its network is specific

The Pro can start and pause cleaning from its physical control button. The quick guide says app setup uses a secure 2.4-GHz Wi-Fi network, Bluetooth and location permission, with the drum at its home position. The guide also describes button-only operation, so an app is an option rather than a prerequisite for the basic cleaning cycle. A household that wants remote records needs to support the specified band; a household that wants to avoid app reporting can choose the documented button routine instead. The app and product page describe use-time, toilet-frequency and cleaning-status records, plus weight-based identification from four weighing sensors. Treat those as manufacturer-described tracking features—not a guaranteed recognition accuracy, a numeric cat-capacity rating or a veterinary assessment.

HHOLOVE also advertises a purification system that runs every six hours. The guide labels UV-light and sterilization status, but the materials reviewed do not substantiate a measured reduction in germs or odor. That feature should not replace routine cleaning, waste-drawer checks or normal room ventilation. The maker’s “pinch-free” language is likewise a design claim, not a reason to put a small kitten in automatic mode outside the stated age and weight limits.

Owner routine and limits

Allow room to slide the drawer out and lift the drum cover, and place the machine on a flat, hard floor. The manufacturer says a mat or carpet can interfere with gravity sensing; its recommendation matters if you are relying on weight-based records. Before use, the FAQ says to secure the eight internal-pad buckles and keep litter below the MAX line. The quick guide includes a deodorizer holder and 20 liners, but it does not describe machine-sealed waste bags. A separate drawer and disposable liner still require a person to inspect and empty them.

The current product page states a one-year manufacturer warranty and lists replacement parts such as the internal silicone pad, adapter and base. Before purchase, compare that term with the exact seller offer and confirm what replacement parts are available in your region. Also note that the FCC-hosted two-page quick guide names CL-TYW but prints a conflicting placeholder FCC-ID string in its footer; the model code itself agrees with the product page, but that manual’s identifier line should not be used as an alias or as a separate product number.

Who should compare the L1 or another design?

Choose the Pro for a clumping-litter routine, an enclosed front-entry chamber and a household that can honor the six-month, 2.2–22-pound automatic-use boundary. It is also the more source-documented HHOLOVE choice if you need a numeric drawer volume and exact Wi-Fi band. Compare the ABRCT Open-Top L1 if an open top is the priority, but its U.S. page leaves litter type, wireless band, dimensions, age guidance and waste volume unspecified. If one of those unknowns is essential, the L1 is not a confirmed match; compare another model with documentation that answers the question. Neither the Pro’s large chamber nor its app promises a set emptying interval or removes the need to watch your cat’s comfort.

Primary references: HHOLOVE’s Pro White U.S. page and Pro Dark Grey U.S. page, plus the two-page CL-TYW quick guide filed under FCC ID 2A5DZ-CL-TYW. The guide’s footer contains an inconsistent FCC-ID string; model-specific claims are kept separate from that error.
