PLLB001 is the exact manual model. The current product page offers SKU PL-LB001-01W as one unit and PL-LB001-01W*2 as two separate machines. A separate Luma Set listing repeats the same two-unit SKU and is a duplicate purchase route. Current pre-order timing was captured 2026-10-24; availability can change.

A useful fit for

A household wanting an open-view automatic sifting bowl and app/camera features, using compatible clumping litter on a hard, flat floor and with every cat meeting the manual’s age and weight limits. A single-machine rating for a specific number of cats is not published.

The main tradeoff

The cleanable removable basket and camera-backed app features come with a large open footprint, filter-specific litter requirements, an 11 L drawer that still needs inspection, and subscription limits on AI/history. Age/weight and carpet restrictions are hard boundaries; 10-cat recognition is not household-capacity proof.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Does the open sifting bowl match your litter and entry preference?

The documented plan is an open-top rotating sifter for clumping litter, using the filter matched to granule shape. It is not an enclosed globe or crystal rake tray.

Will every cat meet the specific automatic-mode limits?

Automatic cleaning is only for adult cats at or above 2.2 lb and six months old; disable auto-clean for kittens under six months, lighter cats, or pregnant/nursing cats.

Do you need a built-in camera and multi-cat recognition?

The exact product includes a camera and the maker describes recognition up to ten cat profiles. Video AI/recording/history have separate subscription conditions; profile recognition does not mean a rated cat capacity.

Must one purchase include two separate litter stations?

The exact page lists SKU PL-LB001-01W*2 for two machines; each has its own floor placement, drawer and servicing. This package does not create a numeric household capacity.

What the Luma does differently

Petlibro’s Luma Smart Litter Box is an open-view, powered sifting bowl rather than an enclosed rotating globe or a fixed rake tray. A removable basket and interchangeable filter separate waste into a pull-out drawer after the cat exits. The large top opening is easy to see into, but it is not a hooded design that hides the litter surface. If you want an enclosed chamber or a crystal tray, this is the wrong cleaning plan.

The manual pairs the round-hole filter with small-grained clumping litter and the long-pellet filter with pellet-shaped clumping litter. Follow that pairing and the fill-level lines; the automatic mechanism is not a promise that every litter texture will sift cleanly. The manual’s illustration also shows tofu and mixed litter, but the specific written filter direction is the safer guide for selecting litter. If you use something unusual, ask Petlibro about that exact type instead of assuming it is compatible.

Cat fit is a real boundary, not an app setting

Petlibro’s page specifies adult cats from 2.2 to 22 pounds. It says to disable automatic cleaning for kittens younger than six months, cats under 2.2 pounds, and pregnant or nursing cats. Those animals can use the box only with automatic cleaning disabled and the owner following the manual’s supervision and cleaning instructions. The age and weight limits should not be blended into a single “small cat” rule: both matter.

The phone app can identify up to ten cats, but that is a recognition/profile feature, not a manufacturer rating for how many cats one litter station can serve. The product page’s seven-day storage estimate is based on internal testing with two cats and varies with use and litter. It is not a household-capacity certification or a safe away-from-home interval. If a numerical cat-capacity rating is essential, the published information does not establish one.

Measure the room and keep a practical routine

The listed body is 23.3 by 22.5 by 28.1 inches and weighs about 33 pounds. Measure the route into the room, the space to open the waste drawer, and enough room to lift out the basket and filters. Petlibro also publishes a 17.4-inch entry figure, but it does not label the measurement axis clearly enough to treat it as a door width or step height. Do not use it as a hard-fit measurement. The manual calls for a hard, flat floor and specifically says not to place the unit on carpet.

The drawer is listed as 11 liters. Petlibro’s page says it can hold up to seven days for two cats, while also warning that actual duration depends on litter and use. Check the drawer daily at first and empty it sooner if the indicator or your household’s usage calls for it. The manual’s cleaning directions require removing and washing the basket and filter, wiping the mat, and keeping the powered base and camera dry. Expect routine part removal, drying, and reassembly; “automatic” does not mean maintenance-free.

Camera and odor claims need context

The Luma includes a camera and offers app live view. Live streaming is available without the Video Cloud AI subscription, but AI waste analysis, event recording, and historical playback require that service; the product page says SD cards are not supported. Do not buy it on the assumption that every camera feature or a long video archive is included in the base setup. Its single camera also does not satisfy a need for two-camera coverage.

A built-in fan routes air through a carbon deodorizer, and Petlibro advertises a 97% odor-reduction result based on a six-hour third-party test. That is a maker-reported, test-bound claim, not a guarantee for your room, litter, cleaning habits, or a nearly full drawer. The product page lists two fan speeds and a 35–47 dB noise range; use the lower setting if sound matters and verify how the unit behaves in the intended room.

Choose the package, not just the machine

The exact product page lists a one-pack SKU (PL-LB001-01W) and a two-pack SKU (PL-LB001-01W*2). The separate “Luma Smart Litter Box Set” page repeats that same two-pack SKU, so it is a duplicate route rather than a different model. A two-box purchase gives you two independent stations; it does not establish a two-cat rating, a shared waste drawer, or linked app behavior. Measure and plan for two power points and two separate maintenance routines.

Other Petlibro offers combine one Luma with a fountain, feeder, accessory kit, or a cloud-service trial. Those additional pet products do not add another litter machine or change its operating limits. One “Carpet Base” bundle is especially easy to misread: the separate base page markets carpet placement, but the Luma manual says hard, flat floor and no carpet. Treat that conflict as unresolved and do not shortlist the bundle for carpet use without written manufacturer clarification. At capture, the U.S. machine page showed pre-order shipments beginning October 26, 2026; availability and offer terms can change.

Who should compare it?

The Luma is worth considering if you want an open-view sifting bowl, compatible clumping litter, app activity and camera access, and you can follow the adult-cat restrictions and regular drawer checks. It is a weaker fit for a kitten under six months, a cat below 2.2 pounds, carpet placement, an essential numeric household-capacity rating, an enclosed globe preference, or a requirement for recorded video without a subscription.

Compare the PetPivot AutoScooper models for other open-top sifting arrangements and the Neakasa M1 family for a different open-entry approach. A PetSnowy SNOW+ is an enclosed rotating globe, so its entry and cleaning mechanism are not interchangeable with Luma’s open bowl. Start with the floor, the cat’s age and weight, and the litter you already use; the camera and odor-control extras cannot fix a mismatch on those basics.
