Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Does this one exact package actually contain two automatic litter-box machines?
Yes. The exact Cumrige option SKU M4-E-FBM and its page artwork identify two separate machines: Cumrige M4 and Cumrige E.
Explore this need in the finder →Does the pair share a documented clumping-litter plan without adding its drawer volumes?
Each exact included model uses clumping litter, but the drawer volumes and care remain per device; the package does not combine their capacity.
Explore this need in the finder →Do two boxes establish a maker-rated two-cat household capacity or one shared app?
No package-level cat-count rating or shared app account is documented. A need for two stations is different from a numeric two-cat rating.

The Cumrige M4 + E package, exact SKU M4-E-FBM, combines two complete machines with different access shapes. M4 is an enclosed rotating drum with a front opening; E is a top-open sifter. This is useful only when two stations are actually needed, such as separate floors or a home where cats have different preferences. The package does not create a shared large box, nor is the second unit a spare that automatically connects to the first.
The two waste drawers are both listed at 15 liters, but the similarities stop there. M4 has an official capacity claim of up to three cats and a recommendation around 11 pounds or under because of its enclosed interior. E’s current page does not give a numeric household capacity. It lists a 3.3–27.5-pound range and its user manual specifies a six-month minimum age, while M4’s manual also includes age/weight safeguards. Do not add M4’s three-cat claim to an imagined E rating, and do not interpret two bins as one household capacity. If a cat will use both machines, compare it with the stricter fit guidance and each entry style.
Shared litter needs, separate routines
Both models use clumping litter and list 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi for app functions. Cumrige recommends low-dust clumping bentonite for M4 and suggests a delay to let clumps form before cleaning. E’s page lists bentonite, mineral and mixed litter and excludes tofu and crystal. This makes a firm clumping litter a sensible shared choice, but the M4 recommendation is the more specific one. If your current litter is weak-clumping or light, changing the formula may be more important than adding a second box.
Each machine has its own controls and drawer. M4’s three physical buttons and app operate one station; E lists manual buttons plus Tuya app functions. A double-box product title does not establish that their app logs combine, that one can control both simultaneously, or that their cycles synchronize. Keep the two maintenance calendars separate until the manufacturer confirms a combined dashboard. The purchase also requires two floor positions, two outlets and enough room to remove each drawer; account for cleaning access, not only the outside dimensions.
Transition and upkeep
A second automatic unit may reduce crowding, but cats may still prefer a familiar tray. Introduce each machine slowly, with the previous litter box available while the cats investigate. M4’s page advises familiar used litter and a gradual powered-off transition; E also recommends allowing a cat to become familiar before automatic cleaning. Check both machines during early use rather than assuming their sensors or sealed bins remove all owner attention.
Removable drums, trays and drawers need regular care. The electronic bases should not be rinsed or submerged; follow the distinct M4 and E manual sequences, disconnect power before service and dry washable pieces fully. A sealed drawer helps enclose collected waste but does not guarantee no odor. Open-top E may track more litter than a covered box, while M4’s enclosed opening may be less comfortable for a large or long-bodied cat. These design tradeoffs remain even when both are sold in the same package.
When another bundle is more useful
M4 + E fits buyers who want one enclosed and one open station, use firm clumping litter and accept that E has no numeric household capacity claim. Compare M4 + M5 if the open-top station should have a stated two-to-three-cat claim, or M2 + E if M2’s larger recommended cat weight range and more detailed touch panel are important. For one station, compare M4 and E directly. A bundle is not the right answer if the room can only safely fit one litter box.
