A useful fit for

A home that intentionally wants two independently serviced Cumrige M2 and Cumrige E machines, can make room for each, and uses clumping litter.

The main tradeoff

The purchase contains two distinct machines, not one combined system. Their fit thresholds, entry styles and drawer routines remain per unit; the manufacturer does not assign the package a shared cat capacity or shared app/waste record.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Does this one exact package actually contain two automatic litter-box machines?

Yes. The exact Cumrige option SKU M2-E-FBM and its page artwork identify two separate machines: Cumrige M2 and Cumrige E.

Does the pair share a documented clumping-litter plan without adding its drawer volumes?

Each exact included model uses clumping litter, but the drawer volumes and care remain per device; the package does not combine their capacity.

Do two boxes establish a maker-rated two-cat household capacity or one shared app?

No package-level cat-count rating or shared app account is documented. A need for two stations is different from a numeric two-cat rating.

A covered M2 plus the open-top E

Cumrige’s exact M2 + E bundle has SKU M2-E-FBM. It includes one enclosed M2 and one open-top E, so it pairs two different entry experiences rather than supplying two identical boxes. This can help a home with separate cat zones or with a clear reason to provide both a covered entry and an open surface. It is not one larger litter box, a connected waste route or a promise that a cat will use both stations.

The official pages list a 15-liter sealed drawer for each unit. That shared figure does not make them interchangeable. M2 is described as an enclosed rotating drum; the FAQ gives an approximately 14-day drawer estimate for one cat around 8.8 pounds and says the design is best suited to cats up to about 16.5 pounds. E has open-top access, but its current listing does not give a numeric household capacity or a single-cat drawer interval. The double package therefore has no supported combined capacity or emptying-day claim. The separate bins must be checked and emptied based on what each cat actually deposits.

Different fit guidance at each station

M2’s manual gives a 2.2-pound minimum and three-month age floor, while the FAQ’s more cautious upper recommendation is about 16.5 pounds. E’s manual specifies a 3.3-pound minimum and six-month minimum age; the product page lists an upper guide of 27.5 pounds. If the same cat is expected to use either unit, the more conservative E minimum and age limit are the relevant plan. For separate cats and separate spaces, assess each cat against the box placed in that location. Do not infer that two models make one more suitable for an animal that fails either set of instructions.

Both models use clumping litter and 2.4 GHz app connectivity, but M2’s app and touch controls are documented separately from the E’s manual buttons. M2’s core cleaning can operate without Wi-Fi; the E product page also names manual button control. The package does not confirm that the app combines the machines into one household dashboard. If phone-based monitoring of both boxes is essential, verify the exact app behavior instead of treating “app control” on two individual product pages as proof of integrated operation.

Litter choice and maintenance

M2’s FAQ recommends low-dust, absorbent clumping litter, including clay/mineral and compatible mixed clumping varieties, and rejects non-clumping crystal litter. E lists bentonite, mineral and mixed litter and also excludes crystal and tofu. A firm clumping formula suitable for both is the safest shared path, while weak clumping can complicate separation. If you currently use crystals or tofu, the product bundle is not a documented replacement option for that litter routine.

Expect to maintain two machines: add litter separately, monitor each fill line, replace separate waste liners and clean removable pieces according to the exact manual. Keep electronic bases dry. E’s open top may be easier to approach for some cats but offers less physical containment; M2’s entry is enclosed, with a measured 9.84-inch opening and limited interior. Provide space to pull both drawers out and keep a familiar tray during transition. A sealed waste compartment may reduce exposed waste, but neither product removes normal inspection or cleaning.

Who should choose this two-box combination?

M2 + E suits a buyer who needs two stations, wants one covered and one open-top, and can meet both models’ individual limits. It is less suitable if only one box can fit, if the cat needs one consistent entry style, or if the household requires a numeric capacity claim for both units. Compare M2 + M4 for two enclosed designs or M5 + E for two open-top machines. For a single model, compare M2 with E before paying for a second station.
