Review covers the standard Ease S1 CB01 standard-control machine in gray CB01AAU and white CB01AWU. The app-connected Pro is separately assessed. Use only the litter and cat-fit conditions in the CB01 manual; package contents vary by exact SKU.

A useful fit for

A candidate for a home that wants an open-top rotating sifter, will use the manual-approved mineral/bentonite clumping litter, and prefers physical local controls to app reporting.

The main tradeoff

The owner still empties the 11 L drawer and washes removable tray parts; the manual recommends a 3–5 day emptying routine even though product marketing says up to 14 days for one cat. Numeric cat capacity, entry dimensions and step height are not documented.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Does the standard S1's open-top rotating sifter fit a home that uses clumping litter?

Yes, Oneisall identifies the CB01 as open-top and the manual specifies mineral/bentonite clumping litter. It is not a crystal rake or an enclosed globe.

Explore this need in the finder →
Can the youngest cat meet the manual's minimum age before automatic mode is used?

The manual says not suitable under six months. Treat age and weight as separate boundaries; this question does not override the 2.6 lb minimum.

Does the cat meet the documented minimum weight for the automatic cycle?

The manual cautions against use below 2.6 lb. A cat's weight should meet this threshold, as well as the separate six-month minimum age.

Must one purchase include two S1 machines rather than only one?

The manufacturer lists two- and three-machine S1 packages; one-box plans do not satisfy a two-machine requirement. Multiple boxes still do not establish rated cat capacity.

Do you want the standard Ease S1 to run without a litter-box app?

The standard CB01AAU/CB01AWU uses local physical controls; the separately reviewed Pro is the app-connected model.

The Oneisall Ease S1 is an open-top machine that rotates a litter tray to sift waste after a cat leaves. The standard version uses buttons and an indicator panel rather than a phone app; the separately sold S1 Pro adds app-connected controls and activity information. Both are built around the same CB01 mechanism, but that connectivity change matters enough to treat the Pro as a separate choice. I reviewed the manufacturer’s product pages, CB01 owner manual and listed package variants; I did not own or hands-on test either model.

Open-top access, rotating cleanup

The Ease S1 is not an uncovered rake tray: its litter tray rotates so the clumping material passes a guard and waste falls into a pull-out drawer. The cat uses an open-top rectangular chamber, rather than entering a hooded globe. A five-minute wait follows exit detection before automatic cleaning begins, giving clumps time to form. That short pause is part of the real routine; it is not an immediate flush or a promise that every clump will separate perfectly.

The standard model is the simpler fit for a household that wants the machine’s automatic cycle but does not need app reporting. The manual describes physical controls for manual cleaning, switching between automatic and manual modes, and leveling litter. Its safety table lists radar, weight, front/back infrared and motor-stall protections. These are maker-described safeguards, not independent safety testing. For pregnant or nursing cats, Oneisall recommends Manual Cleaning Mode; when cleaning the removable tray parts, the base and drive boxes must not be submerged or rinsed.

Litter and cat-fit requirements are strict

For a dependable match, plan on mineral or bentonite clumping litter. The manual says not to use crystal, corn or cassava litter. Oneisall sells an optional large-hole guard advertised for tofu or mixed litter, and its page uses broad “all litter compatible” language; however, the same manual says to use mineral/bentonite clumping litter only. I would not choose this box for an essential tofu, crystal or plant-based-litter requirement until Oneisall supplies a model-specific updated instruction that clearly resolves that conflict. The optional guard is a package difference, not proof that the standard manual’s restriction has disappeared.

The CB01 manual cautions against use with a kitten under six months or a cat below 2.6 lb, while the product page gives a 30 lb upper guide. I treat the age and lower-weight boundaries as separate minimums: a cat should meet both six months and 2.6 lb before automatic mode is considered. The maker gives no numeric maximum number of cats, so a multi-cat headline is not a verified capacity rating. The tray’s 11 L drawer does not tell you how many cats it can serve or establish a guaranteed emptying interval.

Plan for regular owner maintenance

Oneisall advertises up to 14 days for one cat, but the owner manual advises emptying the waste drawer every three to five days to limit odor and bacterial growth. Treat the longer claim as a marketing maximum, not a schedule to follow without checking the drawer. The manual also calls for monthly cleaning of the tray, lid and full-cover pad. You still remove waste, add litter, check the bag and clean the removable parts; automatic sifting reduces some daily scooping but does not make the box maintenance-free.

The unit measures 22.05 × 23.03 × 21.97 inches (L × W × H). It needs a flat, hard, stable surface, not carpet, with two to four inches of clearance around the machine. The drawer can be installed on the left or right, which may help placement, but allow room to pull it out. Oneisall does not publish an entry width, internal headroom or step height, so those fit questions remain unanswered. The included litter step is an optional package choice; without a published step dimension, its presence alone does not prove accessibility for a particular cat.

Which package is actually useful?

The U.S. catalog lists standard gray and white base SKUs, plus packages with a step, a purifier, litter mats or a different litter guard. It also shows two- and three-box sets. A two- or three-machine package may help a home that wants boxes on different floors, but there is no manufacturer-rated cat count attached to those sets; multiple machines do not convert into a documented household-capacity number. The catalog offers two different purifier add-ons: “Fresh Home Set” lists a standard automatic box and a Pet Air Purifier, while “Fresh Cat Home” lists the box with a 2-in-1 Cat Air Purifier. The manufacturer’s exact option records distinguish the choices by title, variant ID, barcode and package artwork even though they reuse a printed SKU; confirm the displayed title and listed contents rather than relying on that code alone. Either purifier is a companion room-care device, not a change to the S1’s open-top sifting cycle. It does not establish a higher cat capacity or a different litter-box mode. If the purifier is not useful, choose the box-only option instead.

For a connected cleaning and activity log, compare the Ease S1 Pro; for a different open-top rotating sifter, see the Neakasa M1 Plus or PetPivot AutoScooper 11. If you want to keep using crystal litter, look instead at a crystal-tray rake such as the PetSafe ScoopFree Crystal Classic. These alternatives use different cleaning and litter plans, so they are comparisons rather than interchangeable replacements.

Bottom line

Choose the standard Ease S1 if you want an open-top rotating sifter, can use mineral/bentonite clumping litter, and prefer local controls over app features. Check the cat’s age and weight against the manual, measure the full footprint and drawer-access space, and plan to empty it every few days rather than relying on the longest advertised interval. If app access is essential, the standard CB01AAU does not meet that need; if non-clumping or tofu litter is essential, the current official instructions do not provide a sufficiently clear match.

Exact package suppliesThe manufacturer lists distinct standard-control purifier bundles: Fresh Home Set = one standard automatic box plus one Pet Air Purifier; Fresh Cat Home = one automatic box plus one 2-in-1 Cat Air Purifier. The latter shares printed SKU KCB01AAU-PP02WAU with Fresh Home Set, but has its own Shopify variant ID, barcode, title and bundle artwork; identify the exact offer by those option-level fields and listed contents, never SKU alone. Neither set changes the CB01 litter mechanism or establishes additional cat capacity.
Litter and care limitsThe CB01 manual directs use of mineral/bentonite clumping litter only and says not to use crystal, corn or cassava-based litter. It separately describes a larger-hole tofu guard as not included, while current product options advertise an all-litter guard; this conflict is unresolved. The safe matching plan remains mineral/bentonite clumping litter.
Exact-model and package notesCore exact machine model CB01. Standard gray SKU CB01AAU and white SKU CB01AWU share the non-app plan. Other page options include named step, purifier, mat/guard, two-box, three-box and care-device packages. Gray/white are finish variants, not distinct machine mechanisms.
Published size noteThe manual labels these dimensions L × W × H: 22.05 × 23.03 × 21.97 in. For matching, width is 23.03 in and depth is 22.05 in; leave 2–4 in clearance on all sides and drawer-service space.
