Think in two separate operating stations

The package does not turn those into a 16-liter shared drawer or a single cleanup cycle. You still need two stable floor locations, two power outlets and room to reach each bin and remove each drum for cleaning. PETKIT advises a firm, level surface and 2 inches of space from the wall; the published footprint is large, and the manual reverses the first two dimension figures without naming width and depth. Measure both spots before purchasing rather than assuming the bundle fits beside one existing box.

A second machine can be useful when cats need separated locations, the home has multiple floors, or one unit is not enough for your actual household routine. But the product title “Multi-Cat Care” and recognition of up to 15 profiles do not provide a rated cat count for either unit or for the pair. PETKIT does not publish a household-capacity number here. The manual says the machine must be bound to the PETKIT app before first use; the product page supports 2.4- and 5-GHz Wi-Fi. PETKIT says preset cleaning continues if the network later drops, while app usage records stop updating. One person should set up each unit and verify that the right cat profile is associated with the right activity at both locations. The camera can help owners notice patterns, but it is not a diagnostic device and does not replace veterinary advice.

Check the same limits for every unit

Each Max Pro 2 is intended for clumping litter, with manual particle limits of 12 mm in length and 3 mm in diameter and a fill line in the drum. PETKIT advertises up to 17 days for a single cat for one unit; usage varies, and a second unit does not eliminate the owner’s need to check fill status. Allow floor space for two machines, two front approaches and cleaning access rather than stacking them into one tight corner.
