A useful fit for

A household seeking an enclosed clumping-litter sifter with app-based camera records and 2.4/5 GHz Wi-Fi, where every cat meets PETKIT’s age/weight restrictions and there is firm, level floor space for a large machine.

The main tradeoff

No numerical household-cat rating; entry axes and footprint orientation conflict or are unlabeled across the current page and P9904 manual. Initial app binding is required, full video playback requires Care+, and the manual’s age/weight limits exclude kittens and smaller cats.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Will clumping litter and an enclosed rotating globe suit the routine?

Yes for compatible clumping granules within the manual’s size limits. It is not a crystal tray, and the exact unit accepts both 2.4/5 GHz Wi-Fi.

Are all cats old enough and above the conservative weight floor?

The manual prohibits cats under six months and below 1.5 kg; the page lists 22 lb as the upper guide. The company publishes no cat-count capacity.

Does a need for one built-in activity camera fit, while a requirement for two integrated cameras does not?

The P9904 has a fixed single camera for activity records; it is not an integrated dual-camera system, and full playback needs Care+.

The U.S. PETKIT listing identifies the Purobot Max Pro 2 with camera as model P9904 and the one-box Shopify option T5-2-C; the current product title says Fence 2.0 is included. This is an enclosed rotating sifter for clumping litter. It is not PETKIT’s crystal-tray rake, and the camera and app features should be weighed against a large footprint, age/weight limits, connection setup and continuing cleanup.

Clumping litter in an enclosed rotating chamber

The drum turns after a visit and sifts clumps into a side waste compartment. PETKIT lists a 76-liter cylinder and an 8-liter waste bin; the manual describes two interchangeable sifters and sets a particle-size limit of no more than 12 mm long and 3 mm across. It is a clumping-litter plan, not a choice for loose non-clumping pellets or the company’s proprietary crystal litter and disposable tray. The exact sifter should match the granule size. Fill only to the manual’s marked maximum, and plan to inspect the chamber rather than assuming that a large-looking drum eliminates routine attention.

The 8-liter bag compartment uses PETKIT’s drawstring packing method. The maker’s “up to 17 days” is a single-cat maximum estimate, not a service schedule or a multi-cat travel plan; check the bin and empty it when needed. The manual prefers PETKIT bags because other sizes or thicknesses can interfere with attachment.

A larger opening is not a fit guarantee

PETKIT describes the entry as 43% larger than the older Max Pro and supplies a 10.51-by-10.74-inch opening graphic. Those two opening axes are not clearly labeled, and the listed entry height is still 10.03 inches. A cat’s comfort depends on its whole route in and out, not only the product’s “larger entry” label. Measure the cat and observe whether it can step through without crouching or twisting; senior or short-legged cats are not automatically suited just because the maker highlights easier access.

The page labels the body 25.86 inches wide, 21.18 deep and 23.74 high, while the manual lists the first two numbers in reverse order without naming axes. Treat it as roughly a 26-by-21-inch footprint plus clearance, not a precision fit for a narrow alcove. PETKIT says to place it indoors on a firm, level surface, 2 inches from a wall; soft or tilted flooring can interfere with weight sensors.

The manual prohibits automatic use for kittens under six months and cats under 1.5 kg; the page gives a 3.3-to-22-pound guide. Use the conservative lower limit near that rounded boundary. “Kitten Protection” disables automatic cleaning; it does not make underage use appropriate. PETKIT gives no numeric cat capacity: recognition of up to 15 profiles is not a 15-cat rating.

The camera adds context, not a diagnosis

The fixed camera and weight sensors sort visits into individual profiles, video timelines and alerts; PETKIT says the system can flag yowling or soft-stool events. These may help an owner notice a change, but are not a diagnosis. The manual ties full playback to a Care+ cloud subscription. The app can schedule monitoring or turn the camera off. Binding the machine in the app is required before first use. Product specs list both 2.4- and 5-GHz Wi-Fi, unlike the Max 3’s 2.4-GHz-only listing; preset cleaning continues during a later network outage, but app data does not update.

Odor hardware and cleanup are still maintenance

The manual package list includes N50 2.0 for the waste bin and N60 for the cylinder, along with a bag, sifter, magnetic litter remover and adapter; the U.S. listing names Fence 2.0 as included. These odor components do not replace emptying the bin or removing stuck litter. The manual calls for brushing the cylinder/sifter as needed, prompt cleanup after loose stool, and wiping—not soaking—the base. PETKIT advertises 12 sensors and an anti-pinch structure; follow the setup and cleaning instructions rather than treating marketing claims as independent safety testing.

Which Max Pro 2 package is the useful one?

The regular one-box option is SKU T5-2-C. The Odor Control Bundle (T5-2-C_N50-NEW) adds three N50 2.0 refills and a stated two-year warranty. The Starter Bundle (T5-2-C_T-Litter-2_N60-3_N50-NEW_TB2-5) lists five bag rolls, three N50 2.0, three N60, two bags of clumping litter and a two-year warranty. These supplies do not enlarge the bin or change the cycle.

The separate Max Pro 2 Double Bundle contains two boxes in one purchase; it is not the supplies kit and does not establish a manufacturer-rated number of cats.

Who should shortlist it, and what should they compare?

Shortlist it for camera-based visit records, dual-band Wi-Fi and an enclosed clumping-litter drum. Skip it if you need a lower entry, precise verified alcove dimensions, a published cat-count rating or subscription-free full video. Compared with the Max 3, it adds camera records and 5-GHz support; Max 3 uses weight-based tracking without a camera and has a smaller 7-liter bin.
