A useful fit for

A useful fit when a household wants an enclosed rotating clumping-litter globe, a sealed 10 L drawer and 2.4 GHz app records, and can accommodate a large 29.5 × 20 × 25.6 inch body.

The main tradeoff

The entry is high and the listed entry length does not establish clear width or step height. The product page's 1–3 cat description conflicts with the FAQ's four-cat recommendation, and the official manual and current FAQ disagree on how much litter to load. Matching uses three cats conservatively; fill to the exact machine's MAX line and get PetSnowy's clarification if the supplied directions disagree. The app's weight-based Pet IDs do not identify a cat by camera or diagnose health.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Does this exact SNOW+ plan match a household that requires an enclosed globe and ordinary clumping litter?

Yes. PetSnowy recommends clumping clay and the base SNOW+ uses an enclosed rotating globe. Crystal and plant alternatives have separate screen/clumping caveats and are not the conservative default.

Will the documented 3.3-pound lower automatic-mode limit include a cat when the finder is set to 3.5 pounds?

PetSnowy states 3.3 lb for automatic mode. A smaller kitten needs automatic cleaning disabled and a supervised manual cleaning routine; weight-based sensing does not make an underweight cat an automatic-mode fit.

Explore this need in the finder →
Does the conservative published cat rating cover three cats, but not an essential four-cat rating?

The product description says 1–3 cats; the FAQ separately says up to four. We use the lower current-page rating rather than resolve the contradiction in favor of a higher match.

Explore this need in the finder →
Is 2.4 GHz app connectivity documented, while 5 GHz-only Wi-Fi remains unsupported?

The PS-001 setup guide specifies 2.4 GHz. Do not treat app presence as evidence of support for a 5 GHz-only network.

A closed globe's trade is containment and upkeep

PetSnowy's SNOW+ is an enclosed rotating litter globe with a sealed drawer, not a crystal-tray rake or a plumbed washing system. After the cat leaves, it separates clumps from the litter bed and drops waste into a 10-liter drawer. It suits someone who wants a mostly covered litter area and accepts a powered sifter, but still needs regular waste checks, refills and cleaning. The U.S. base selector is SNOW+ PS-001: Classic SKU 01-08-07-0379, Cream 01-08-07-0396 and Grey 01-08-07-0380. Finish does not change the mechanism; Grey was unavailable in the archived selector snapshot.

Measure the entrance, body and service space together

The body measures 29.5 inches long, 20 wide and 25.6 high; its interior is listed at 83 L and the drawer at 10 L. PetSnowy gives entrance dimensions of 14.9 inches high and 9.05 inches long including the walkway, but no dependable clear width or floor-to-ramp step. A broad-looking image cannot establish shoulder room or a comfortable turn. Measure the route, installed body and drawer clearance before delivery.

Automatic mode is intended for cats from 3.3 to 20 pounds; lighter kittens require automatic cleaning to be disabled. The product description says “For 1–3 cats,” while support says up to four indoor cats. The finder uses three conservatively rather than resolving that conflict upward. It is neither proof a fourth cat cannot use the box nor a promise about how often a three-cat household will empty it.

Choose a litter the separator can actually handle

PetSnowy recommends standard-weight clay clumping litter. Its FAQ says some small silica crystals may pass the screen and tofu or plant alternatives may work, but can clump less firmly. Non-clumping, loose-clumping and pellets are not a safe default. The maker's wait is four minutes after exit and can be adjusted in the app. Its drawer schedule is about two weeks for one cat, weekly for two and twice weekly for three; those are estimates, not service guarantees. Empty sooner if full.

Loading guidance conflicts: the archived PS-001 manual says up to 5.7 pounds / 2.6 kg, while current support says approximately 10 pounds / 4 L of clumping litter. Do not combine those into a precise max. Follow the MAX line on the exact machine and ask PetSnowy if the mark and manual disagree. The sealed drawer still needs a liner change and waste removal.

The app adds records, but not medical certainty

The PS-001 setup guide specifies 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, not 5 GHz-only support. Its app has activity records, notifications, settings and weight-based Pet IDs, but not a camera view or guaranteed identification of similar-weight cats. Usage history is not a diagnosis. PetSnowy says the globe remains still while a cat is detected; still follow the manual and never start a manual cycle with an animal inside. It also calls for a flat, hard floor, so avoid assuming a soft rug is a suitable sensor surface.

Odor features and cleaning deserve a careful read

The maker markets TiO2 odor control and an optional fragrance box. Promotional reduction claims are not independent tests, and fragrance may not suit every household. Check exact package contents if you want to omit it. Routine upkeep still includes checking waste and litter and cleaning parts in the manual; PetSnowy suggests a thorough clean about every couple of months with clay. Leave room to take the modular top apart.

Know which listing you are comparing

The maker sells several packages around the same named single SNOW+ box. Its Zero Odor Combo (Classic 07-03-86-2302; Cream 07-03-86-2303) adds one Pet Air Purifier; Fresh Water Set (02-08-07-7901; 02-08-07-9602) adds one fountain; Bonus Litter Pack (03-08-07-0209; 01-08-07-6672) adds two clumping-litter bags and a Mini Mesh; and Purrfect Corner Set (01-08-07-8803; 01-08-07-8804) adds one ShelfMate. The separate Feeder & Fountain Bundle adds both a feeder and fountain, but its box-component SKU is not printed. These are not larger-capacity globes. The listed Shed-Free Set has Classic and Cream codes, but the product description does not establish its included appliances, so its contents should not be assumed. The separate SNOW+ Double Set is the verified two-machine package, not one larger globe, and does not double the maker's cat rating. For another enclosed app sifter, compare the ScoopFree SmartSpin; for crystal trays, consider the Crystal Smart. The best discriminator is whether the cat fits the entry, accepts the litter and tolerates the cleaning plan.

Bottom line

SNOW+ fits an owner who wants a closed rotating globe, clumping litter, app records and a sealed 10-liter drawer, and whose cat fits the 3.3–20 pound guide. It is a weaker fit if low entry, verified four-cat capacity, 5 GHz-only Wi-Fi or an uncontested litter-fill maximum is essential. Measure first and follow the exact machine's MAX line.

Exact-model and package notesThe official selector's Classic (SKU 01-08-07-0379), Cream (01-08-07-0396) and Grey (01-08-07-0380) finishes use the same SNOW+ product page and mechanism. The official offer page also lists separate one-box packages with a purifier, fountain, clumping-litter supplies or ShelfMate; those package contents are identified separately in bundle_contents_note.
