A useful fit for

A buyer who wants an enclosed rotating sifter with app control and individual-cat usage records, uses a verified clumping-litter plan, has room for the 23.58 × 20.98-inch footprint and can follow the manual's conservative six-month automatic-use advice.

The main tradeoff

CATLINK does not publish a numeric household cat capacity. Its drawer-time claims conflict, and the included-screen/package contents are not fully consistent between page and manual. The exact SE manual requires 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, and it says younger kittens should use manual rather than automatic cleaning.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Do you need an enclosed rotating globe, app controls and individual-cat use records while using clumping litter?

The current U.S. listing describes the enclosed rotating globe, app reporting and multi-cat recognition; the exact manual provides a clumping-litter operating plan. Recognition does not establish a numeric household capacity.

Explore this need in the finder →
Must the unit connect to an available 2.4GHz network and wait at least five minutes after the cat leaves?

The CL-CA-01 manual specifies 2.4GHz Wi-Fi and a five-minute default wait that can be changed in the app; 5GHz-only households do not meet this setup requirement.

Explore this need in the finder →
Can it be relied on for a defined two-cat count or a kitten under six months in automatic mode?

No numeric household capacity is published, and the exact manual recommends manual mode for cats under six months or under 3.3 lb. Do not assume multi-cat recognition or the page's broader marketing examples overrule those limits.

Does individual-cat recognition establish a maker-rated two-cat capacity?

No. The exact manual/listing supports individual-cat recognition, but it does not state a numeric household capacity; a two-cat hard limit remains unconfirmed.

An enclosed sifting globe with a specific manual

The CATLINK Scooper SE is a front-entry rotating globe that sifts litter into a covered drawer. White single-unit U.S. SKU CL-CA-01 is the model named in the linked BayMax SCOOPER SE manual. It is the enclosed choice in CATLINK’s line, not a rake or an open-top box.

App control and advertised individual-cat recognition are its notable smart features. CATLINK offers per-cat toilet records and health reports alongside automatic, manual, scheduled and emptying modes. Recognition does not establish a rated household size: CATLINK mentions two-cat homes in marketing copy but gives no numeric capacity, so leave an essential cat-count requirement unconfirmed.

Measure the opening as well as the footprint

CATLINK lists a 23.58-inch width, 20.98-inch depth and 21.46-inch height, with an 8.38-by-9.45-inch entry. The manual prints the same outer size in a different order and rounds the height to 21.45 inches. Measure the delivery path and drawer clearance, and consider whether your cat can comfortably use the doorway. Listed empty weight is 24.25 pounds.

The product page calls the globe 70 liters, but a roomy chamber does not replace checking your cat’s posture or access. If your cat avoids covered spaces, start with CATLINK’s open-top Scooper Open-X instead of assuming a large interior will make an enclosed doorway acceptable.

Four modes, five minutes by default, and 2.4GHz Wi-Fi

Auto cleaning starts after the cat exits; the manual sets a five-minute default wait, adjustable in the app. Timer mode schedules cleanings, Manual starts or pauses a cycle, and Empty rotates the globe to remove litter. Setup requires 2.4GHz Wi-Fi; 5GHz is unsupported. If only a 5GHz network reaches the box, you will need a compatible 2.4GHz connection.

CATLINK’s comparison page shows no built-in camera. App records are not video or a diagnosis, and the recognition feature does not prove a numeric capacity for a multi-cat household.

Follow the stricter kitten and litter guidance

The CL-CA-01 manual gives a 3.3-to-22-pound application range; the product page lists 3.5-to-22 pounds. Use 3.5 pounds as the safer lower boundary. The manual recommends Manual mode for cats younger than six months or under 3.3 pounds, while CATLINK’s general FAQ gives a three-month threshold. For conservative automatic use, follow the exact manual’s six-month advice and check the printed instructions supplied with the unit.

The manual permits clumping litter or beads small enough to pass the screen. Its diagram labels a blue screen for bentonite clumping litter and an orange screen for tofu or mixed litter. The product page lists two sift filters, but the manual’s packing list does not say which screen variants come in each package. Use only the supplied, specified combination; do not assume every crystal, pellet or tofu product will pass safely.

A 7-liter drawer is not a leave-it-alone schedule

CATLINK labels the drawer 7 liters, but its timing claims vary: one page section says seven days, its comparison table says up to 14 days for one cat, and its FAQ pairs a roughly 15-day full alert with a recommendation to empty after seven to eleven days. The manual gives no interval. Treat 7 liters as a listed capacity, not permission to leave waste for a fixed period; check and empty the drawer regularly.

The manual says to replace the deodorization hydrogel every 60 days. Wash the globe and side covers with water and dry them fully; wipe, but do not wet or submerge, the base. Unplug before servicing and never remove covers while the globe moves. The manual and product page list different consumables, so verify the contents of the exact package.

Choose the package by what physically arrives

The product JSON lists white CL-CA-01 single, Ramp Set, Double Set and Ramp Double Set options. Both double SKUs repeat the machine code, and the package art shows two units. Ramp Set depicts one box with a separate step; its code ends “CL-LBPS-0,” while the standalone ramp page says CL-LBPS-03. Confirm the contents. The ramp changes approach, not the cleaning cycle.

The page also lists pink single SKU CL-CA-03, but the linked manual names only CL-CA-01. The pink finish is recorded separately, not as a confirmed matched plan. Check the exact color and package code before ordering.

Who should choose it?

Choose white CL-CA-01 if you want an enclosed rotating sifter, app records, a working 2.4GHz network, compatible clumping litter and a comfortable entrance. Look elsewhere if you need a numeric multi-cat rating, 5GHz-only setup, strict drawer schedule, open top or automatic cleaning for a young kitten.

For an open litter approach, compare the Scooper Open-X Multi-Cat; for a different enclosed globe with camera features, CATLINK’s Scoop Robot Pro adds cameras but has its own unresolved limits. Read our CATLINK SE vs Open-X comparison before choosing by shape. Whichever option you prefer, keep a familiar litter tray available during the transition and budget time for regular drawer checks and washing. “Self-cleaning” names the sorting cycle, not freedom from routine care.

Exact package suppliesCurrent U.S. product page lists the base unit, 20 waste bags, two sift filters, one deodorant and a manual; the exact manual packing list instead pictures one trash liner and one deodorization hydrogel with the unit, adapter and manual. Verify the selected package's consumables/screens on arrival. The double packages are two base units; ramp packages add a separate approach ramp.
Litter and care limitsManual permits clumping litter or litter beads small enough to pass through the screen. It depicts a blue screen for bentonite clumping litter and an orange screen for tofu/mixed litter. The current product page separately says clumping litter and lists two sift filters, but the carton’s exact screen variants are not unambiguously identified; do not assume every crystal/tofu/pellet formulation is compatible. Matcher uses the verified clumping plan only.
Exact-model and package notesThe current product JSON lists five exact variants only. White single CL-CA-01; white Ramp Set CL-CA-01/CL-LBPS-0; white Double Set CL-CA-01/CL-CA-01; white Ramp Double Set CL-CA-01/CL-LBPS-03/CL-CA-01/CL-LBPS-03; pink single CL-CA-03 (currently unavailable). The standalone compatible ramp is CL-LBPS-03; the Single Ramp Set JSON's add-on code ends CL-LBPS-0, so preserve the discrepancy. No pink bundles appear in the current JSON.
Published size noteProduct page labels 21.46 H × 23.58 W × 20.98 D in and a 9.45 H × 8.38 W entry; the manual lists 23.58 × 20.98 × 21.45 in. Manual model CL-CA-01 is 24.25 lb.
