Cumrige double litter-box bundles: exact pairs and operating tradeoffs
Cumrige currently lists six two-machine combinations: M2+M4, M2+M5, M2+E, M4+M5, M4+E and M5+E. Each exact package is two physical automatic boxes, not one larger machine. The pairing may be useful when two separated litter stations or different entry styles fit a household, but it does not establish a combined cat capacity or shared app controls.
Check which exact models are paired
| Package option | Exact U.S. package SKU | What is distinct |
|---|---|---|
| M2 + M4 | M2-M4-FBM | Two enclosed front-entry drums; the M2 and M4 controls and maker-stated limits are not identical. |
| M2 + M5 | M2-M5-FBM | One enclosed M2 plus one open-top M5 sifter. |
| M2 + E | M2-E-FBM | One enclosed M2 plus an open-top Cumrige E, sold as SKU Mini-E when offered alone. |
| M4 + M5 | M4-5-FBM | One enclosed M4 plus one open-top M5. |
| M4 + E | M4-E-FBM | One enclosed M4 plus an open-top E. |
| M5 + E | Mini-E-M5 | Two open-top machines, but E and M5 have different listed bin volumes and capacity evidence. |
The exact maker product pages and public option records name each SKU; the package images show two designs in the specific pair. Check the option code on the current seller page because stock, finish and package labels can change. These are still machine bundles even if their page titles use broad “multi-cat” marketing language. None of the six pages supplies a numeric package-level cat rating.
Two stations mean two places to install and service
Plan for two floor locations, two power connections and separate service clearances. Each station has its own litter fill, sensors, drawer and cycle. The maker’s package listings do not document a shared waste bin, combined litter-monitoring record, linked cat identity, common cleaning schedule or app screen that manages both units as one. Some constituent machines support app reporting over 2.4 GHz; regard that as per-unit capability only, and confirm how the exact app handles multiple devices if a single dashboard matters.
The M2, M4, M5 and E all use clumping litter, but a bundle page does not cancel the model-specific advice. M5 and E list bentonite, mineral and mixed litter; their manuals and pages reject tofu and crystal. M2 and M4 have different published fit/entry evidence. An exact plan requiring a shared litter type can be conservative: clumping is common across each pair, while more specific litter types need proof for both included units. Likewise, do not add the drawer volumes together to claim one long interval. You will empty two separate receptacles.
When a double set is—and is not—a good fit
One purchase of two machines can help a home that needs separate boxes in different rooms, wants to offer an enclosed and an open entrance, or wants to trial two styles without buying two listings separately. The M2+M5, M2+E, M4+M5 and M4+E pairs mix an enclosure and an open entry. The M2+M4 pair gives two enclosed units, while M5+E provides two open-top units. That distinction may matter more to a cat than the “double” label.
Conversely, if a hard requirement is “maker-rated for at least two cats,” these bundles do not pass on unit count alone. A second appliance is not a household-capacity rating. A two-cat answer, size limit, minimum kitten age, entrance style or drawer-volume threshold should be checked against the exact constituent unit and the official documentation; where the package itself has no single common value, the match remains unconfirmed. A bundle is also a larger installation and maintenance commitment, not an automatic reduction in the amount of daily oversight.
Do not confuse starter kits or accessories with doubles
The same current Cumrige catalog also lists one-unit starter packages M2-02-FBM, M4-2-FBM and M5-2-FBM. Their descriptions add two waterproof washable pads and three extra rolls of stretchable liners to a single machine; each base box description says it already includes one pad and two liner rolls. These supplies change what arrives in the carton, not the machine count, cleaning design or drawer capacity. The separate M5/E accessory kit SKU EM5 says the litter box is not included. Mats, pads, liners and refill bundles cannot be recommended as automatic boxes by themselves.
